I suppose a lot of elbow grease goes into cleaning rotors etc of carbon build up.
I always wondered why the apex seals were in two parts, long bit then a short bit then the little spring wires underneath to help them move in and out. It's amazing what the apex seals, springs as I call them and the corner seals go through when at high rpm.
