I have to say, I'm glad to see that you're all here, first gen knowledge was looking like being the one thing I'd miss about *cough* a certain other rotary site

In fact, believe it or not, there was actually a point when I thought "Bummer, how will I know whether my car's on Dave Nock's FB register?" Since I'm assuming that's you, "codge"? it's happy days haha.

g
Yes It is indeed myself Nik. Is that You?
I've trawled my Register for C*** **X registrations. One Green, Two Black, One Silver (been Resprayed), Another Green (But C*** **X was it's original plate, not now). Then..... A 55,000 miler, Tender Blue with the right credentials and in the right place. Yippee!!!
Just as Ian predicted above, it certainly looks beautiful Nik, Well done.

Welcome and all that. I'm sure you'll catch the performance bug with the fb soon

NOOOOO....... Get some Go Faster Tape for the side, That's all that's permitted.
Colour? Black or Dark Blue probably, neither has as much speed increase as half inch Red Tape, but good enough.

Ian, yep, that's the one, mate. Hahaha, somehow I knew you guys would know more about the car and its history than I do
Dave, It's me

Nice to re-accquaint myself with you guys. I promise to behave myself over here

Although, to be brutally honest I'm still a wee bit mystified about what happened on the, errrm
other rotary site. Seems I was the last to know haha, but it's ancient history now I have no intention of dragging up.
Chuckles at go-faster tape. I believe I still have some rolls from when I turned my old Z400-4 into an Eddie Lawson Replica. It was blue, and fooling no-one but at the time I thought it was cool
So, where would I find the point/thread where this car was made "famous" by the "infamous" Don Wyatt

? There's so much reading here it's gonna take me ages to get up to date lol

I certainly know a good find when I see it, and I couldn't believe how good this car was. How the old boy kept it so good through 55k miles I've no idea, he must have been one of "that" generation of gentleman motorist... had reciepts for every windscreen wiper he ever bought, etc.
Yeh? what's wrong with that? You wanna see my windscreen wiper receipts as well?.....I can do it my son.......

Here's one of the links, See the 4th post down, by a certain El Greco....

There are a few other Don Wyatt posts about TMX as well....He did our heads in (and I don't mean he smashed up our naval style toilets).

Hahaha, no disrespect intended, Dave. The last car I bought that had been owned by someone like that was a Morris Marina. Fastback coupe, mind, BRG and everything... It literally had receipts for every part the geezer had ever bought, even down to trim clips and washers. No kidding. He was gutted when he made me swear to look after it. I promised I would, but the look on his face when I said I needed it because the Fiat 127 I had then (yeah, I've been guilty of some hideous motoring crimes) wasn't up to getting accross the fields at agricultural college and there wasn't room for a lurcher in the boot

The Marina was perfect, no seat belts or anything so you could fit like six people and two dogs in it and it would still plough on regardless. I think I got the one and only Leyland car that wasn't a Friday Afternoon Special lashed together between tea breaks
*ahem* moving on... do you need my address for your FB register, or just general location? I found the thread where it lives but don't seem to be able to access the download, probably down to my computer ineptitude

No offence at all, you young bucks just keep asking us oldies for part Nos and suppliers 'cos you've thrown your stuff away....snort emoticon.
Seriously, just a general location would be fine Nik.
If you want to push the boat out and give me the town and VIN to my email (not for publication) that would be great. But if you've the slightest hesitation then don't..... Reason - TMX is a late Reg car, I'd like to get an idea if it was on the last boat over with mine.
Regards Dave......email is dgnock at btopenworld dot com

Ahhh, yeah, I remember. God, how could I forget. What a bizarre character
he was. How ironic that I should end up with after chastising him so hahaha. Wow, how strange that I was capable of being so reasonable then as well. Funny ol thing
I'll drop you an email about the car, but I don't have the VIN off the top of my head, might be a few days before I pick it up
