They are easy enough to do. 3-4 hours to strip 2 diffs, clean and inspect the parts, build one up then check adjust preload and backlash.

The difficult part is getting the Torsen LSD centre for the right price. The MX5 boys want them too.

The correct LSD centres go for about £250-300 making the one I built a good deal imho.

I can build more if centres can be found for a reasonable price, or you supply them and I'll put them together for a fee.
I had to buy some tools to be able to do this properly.

Nice thread mate,

My diff is much the same, built with all new parts and a 4.7 CWP, which will mate nicely with the Ford Type 9 box which is fitted with a Quaife straight cut, close ratio gearset.

That looks like a serious bit of kit

What do you think a 4.7 would be like on the street? Going from a 3.9:1 to a 4.77 CWP has crossed my mind, and I've found a set I think will work but maybe it's gonna be overkill.
Mated with a S5 box.

Any thoughts?
