Although i have driven one before i am a novice when it comes to ownership. All the terms and tech speak is slowly being taken on board.
Would loved to catch up with other FB owners if there are any in the London area.

And where does everyone go for servicing etc....

Cheers
James
James,

the main forums in the UK for the fb are this one ( RX7fb)...

plus...
Exile Rotorsport ... a great forum with loads of knowledgeable guys on there and plenty of Kiwis... some London based...

http://www.exile-rotorsport.com/index.php

regarding servicing, nearly everyone does their own. Mazda main dealers don't really want to know about these cars anymore, there are a few specialists about but as they are running a business, their rates reflect this.
The 12a in the FB is a very simple setup and a doddle to work on ( unless you decide to crack it open and do a bit of porting!)
There is all the help and experience you will ever need between these 3 forums and whatever the problem or question, fire away!... someone will have had the same problem and solved it over the years.
Welcome to the world of the rotary... we love it man!

Car looks awesome :)

It's such a cool feeling driving a new car home, especially if its worked out well and is a good car :) Must have been some nice roads in that long old drive home!

Thanks for the warm welcome guys, looking forward to catching up with you all at some stage.

Yeah the drive back was fun (but long). Coming through the borders had some great roads, although i was still getting used to the handling of the RX. It is a bit different from my last ride which was a standard 77 Chevette.

I cruised down the M1 and then M40 at a steady 70mph. It was a 400 mile trip and i only used a tank and a half which i thought was very good.

Hi james and wellcone, looks like you got the bargain of the year there. Where abouts in London are you as I'm at the end of the district line in Upminster.
Nows the time to start enjoying yourself.

Yep, looks like a bargain James, Well Done.

Pity I didn't know you were travelling as I'm half a mile from the A1 in South Yorks. A slight detour round the A1, M18, M1 and you could have had lunch or tea while we drooled over your car. (That's the wife and I as she's a 1st Gen fan as well).

No history on the car prior to it appearing in Edinburgh, but now I've only got 3 series 2's left in Scotland. (There's 8 I've got noted with yours in the London Area).

For Series 3's..... 5 in Scotland; a dozen in London Area.
For Series 1's......forget it; none in either place.

That looks better, looks like you freshened them up with paint.

Mirrors came from gold coast in Oz,a long way.

Did you manage to fathom out the electrics as i think S2's only had one mirror & 1 switch?
