Hey sweet, I noticed the banner has been updated with some fresh pictures - gave it a good scrub yesterday and went for a spank about and took the opportunity to take a couple of photos. On my phone though so not the best quality but hey, they'll do.

Cheers Ian, no sadly the wheels are still Ramon's, the deal is I use them whilst his RX2 gets done and I put new tyres on when he has them back! It's funny but I never thought I'd like modern style wheels on an old 7 it but they've grown on me a lot. I will still be putting something old school on it eventually though when money allows.

A few of you know the back history of NEV so we won't go too far in depth but long story short I've had him for 7 years or so and went from 12A to 13BT (which is now in one of the SA's) and now back to 12A. The red SA is in surgery at the moment after a rather catastophic MOT attempt but as Buzz3n (Matt on Exile) needed a rotor for whats left of the summer we pressed NEV's structurally perfect S2 shell into action. He suffered a bump from a Hilux at the end of his 13BT days but with a bit of love (exuberant hammering) was good to go.

The transfer of donk and interior happened over two saturdays, and was good fun as always....

Got let down on an engine hoist on the day of the swap over so out came the block and tackle and a sturdy tree came to the rescue.


No more pics of day as we were flat out tunin' but end result was an MOT ready NEV.


Went straight through apart from no rear view mirror (robbed of donor car) and no indicators (bad ground on control unit). Fast forward and he made the 160 mile round trip to Retro Rides gathering with no issues.

Few jobs to do, needs a custom exhaust built that tucks up better as center box spends a lot of time on the tarmac. Also needs IDA tuning properly, and interior door cards fitting properly.

Hey Thomas, don't worry the tyres are fine - it's just a band of different texture rubber on the sidewall causing illusion of cut/wear.
