Agree. Talk to stacy.
I've spent a bit of time at stacy's. His car has been foam filled. More to stop crap getting in the chassi rails than anything though.
I assume you are/have seam welded the chassis?
The biggest problem I can see from your description is you will have the engine mounted so far forward (displacing the radiator to the back) that it will handle like a dog. You'll have so much weight over the front suspension.
To put in a four rotor I think you should be considering firewall modification.
How much power are you looking at? 700hp is readily achievable from a 13BT. I've thought about getting a 20B and putting it into something, but the cost just makes me grab a 13BT and think build that up with a nice turbo set up.
Have you seen the PPRE RX4 with the 6 rotor?

Yes i am going to seam weld the chassis. The extra weight from the 26B will be counter balanced by the radiator and 10Gallon fuel cell that will be in the rear of the cockpit. The engine will have to be mounted close to four and a half inches forward but this is achievable by modifiying steel plates to act as the motor mount. There will not have to be any firewall modifications done with the custom motor mount being put in place but that is why i must move the radiator. I am gunning for 1100-1400HP, It will be the 26B with twin inline 88mm Turbos from Turbonetics USA. Yes I have seen the 6-Rotor BEAST haha that thing is CRAZY powerful.

I am currently finishing prepping for paint on the undercarriage. Wire brush, scraper, and sandpaper.. Glad i love my car cause this is "fun" I will put up more pics when i can, wanting to wait although all the pics ive seen on here are beautiful

I am using industrial Epoxy Primer on the car before she goes to my Booth. You guys have made this site like my FaceBook, its always a pleasure to speak to other FA and FB enthusiast.

[quote="MishlerDennis"]Would putting foam into the skeleton or interior framework of the car be a good idea against road noise? The interior is bare metal right now.quote]
Not much you can do about road noise without adding weight.
At least you've got a LHD so heat isn't such an issue. Stacy might tell you about his burnt foot. I've seen the melted boot marks on the floor of the car

If you have a monster like this with 1000 HP are you really gonna worry about road noise ?

Im not sure if extra weight will be much of an issue with having a 26B power plant although the less weight the better. I am planning on having heat resistant tape lining the firewall on both sides because of the massive power plant and the header exit being at the firewall/fender meet point. I am also putting a custom foam molded fiberglass widebody kit into play extending the width of the car by 12in on each side. I want to make sure of a much wider wheelbase as well as a lower center of gravity to compensate for the addition of more weight and horsepower. I figure that way the car wont handle terrible on cornering acceleration as well as having less of a chance of breaking loose in straight line acceleration. Im open to any helpful opinions and ideas.

The reason i am worried about alot of road noise is because i want to hear every pitch and tone of the engine until i have her completely tuned the way i want her. Honestly that is how my last race car "1984 RX-7 13B RE-W" was tuned.

If you are competing and wearing a crash helmet, you won't hear a great deal anyway.

Yes that is true. The hot august nights celebration the town i live in allows me to test the health of the engine "fly by contest, burnout contest, 1/4mile drag". Its the only day of the year here you can drive like an idiot and get away with it
.. Do you have a thread for your RallyCar?
