Ah sorry then, that car would be snapped up like a shot over here. Not by me, I'm a boring old git, but you've sensed what my mates are like! They want modded this and modded that.

But in general I don't think 1st Gen RX7's are a money pit.

If it's a Texas car it should have been spared the real 1st-gen killer of rust. There's an excellent guide to what to look for in that respect on this site, though. It's relatively simple to fit a later engine from an FC-model RX-7 even if you can't find a replacement 12A engine that the car would originally have had.

Not necessarily a money pit. Give it a look-see and get some pics up, there are some wise heads here that'll be able to offer sensible advice (believe it or not, lol). Even if you don't fancy it yourself there's enough love for the 1st gen over in the States that you ought to be able to move it on without too much trouble
