Welcome einar,
I like the colour of the rare lefthand drive first gen. The rims are not the original I think. What´s the size?

Funnily enough, I saw one of these in the flesh this weekend at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. It's a Mercedes C111, dating from the time in the early 70s when every manufacturer were playing with licenses for the Wankel leased from NSU. Only a few of them made working cars and fewer still brought rotaries to production, in fact only Citroen and NSU themselves in the latter category. The Mercedes fell into the former bracket along with things like the Corvette GM made prototypes of. The C111 was made in probably about four working prototypes (exact number is uncertain, opinions vary) and featured both three and four-rotor engines. Then the fuel crisis killed the whole lot of them off and only Mazda were left to fly the flag.
Funny really that the only rotary car in the entire Festival of Speed was probably one of the rarest of all rotary cars!
