JAZ runs @ 14v even when operating the windows too.
Ian - you must have shaken the bones on yours with all of its' recent use so very good to hear it was a simple & cheap fix.

Welcome back Cliff, glad you're sorted...
I think in my rush to get the car back on the road ( the daily driver was playing up at the time), I just put this wire on fingertight and then forgot to nip it up... it's then gone and worked loose.
All sorted now though

when i put mine of the road a month ago, the alternator was sqeauling like hell, the belts where pretty knackered so replaced them and twice since then the alt seems to have dropped down, in fact its done it three times evreytime after ive been on the motorway!

ive just got back half an hour ago and it was playing up as i came off the motorway, so have adjusted it again and the bolt does not seem to be tightning up, it spins but not freely as thought is cross threaded or anything it may be that evrey time ive adjusted it so for the engine has been hot ooops!!!

should the bolt have a nut on the other side, im thinking of replacing the bolt for one thats ever so slightly longer and popping a nut on the other side just to secure it!

Yep everything has to be up tight.

From memory the long bolt has a nut as well. Not sure about the other. But all has to be tight.

Use the shaft of a hammer to get leverage when tightening; saves damage as it's usually hickory on metal, not metal on metal.

ahh right thanks, I think thats the problem theres no nut, shoudlnt be to difficult to find a nut, local nut and bolt store are very helpful!
