Stripped the offside front suspension on NEV, found which bit was bent (lower control arm) and duly set about unbending it with good ol' brute force (5 ton press) and ignorance (well, me
)

So he now sits with both front wheels pointing in roughly the same direction , and awaits test drive tomorrow morning after I've jumped up and down on the front bumper and then hopefully Japfest.

Stripped out half the engine bay to paint up and rust treat a load of stuff like the battery tray etc... then gone off to a show today and now it's raining fit to have Noah checking the forcast off Dogger Bank. Wouldn't be a problem except I need to get the FD out of the garage tomorrow at sparrow's fart to take it and get the clocks reprogrammed... and the FB's in the way of the garage door, with no battery and half the N/S engine bay in bits
Foot...gun...aim

Re: What I've done to my car this week!
This weekend I only got a couple of hours to spend on the car but was productive. Finally got the drivers side doors and wing off. Was worried about the bolts being welded with rust so wouldn't be able to get the wing off without cutting, however, I need not have worried. Took the door off, removed bolts in engine bay then the one in the wing and it practicaly fell off.
Reason? Completely rusted away sill and body work at point where the wing attaches at the bottom. Another addition to the long welding list.
After that we moved inside the car and carried on removing the dash. Facia is out and most of the trim is off, just the main dash to remove now but we unfortunatley ran out of time. Hopefully we can sort it next weekend and then its just removing the remaining parts from the engine bay and the bodywork will begin.
Pics up soon

Getting ready to pull the 13BT out of NEV, did some prep work to lessen the task next weekend...

Four nuts and she'll come out.

Don't be sad dude, this is by no means the end for Nev - he's just taking a well earned break.Lucky wrote:Poor Nev![]()
