I think the current stand consists of:

kenwhiteside FB
Victorsanders FB
MelloYellow FB
Ian.Mothersole FB
KiwiDave FB
Red & Black (Derek, guest from the RX-8 OC with an immaculate 2003 RX-8 he has owned from new)

Have I missed anyone?

Having booked earlier, I am on the Dutch Mazda stand with my FB. We hope their stand will be adjacent to the rx7fb stand, so I can park next to you lot :D

In case of inclement weather, Ian is bringing a gazebo - @Tim - are you able to check with the organisers if we are on hard or soft standing and if they can allow space for a large 3m x 3m gazebo?

I know it's a way off for an accurate weather forecast, but good to see this at the moment

At a previous Goodwood event, 2-3 years ago, someone suggested we meet up in the Halfords car park, post code PO19 7AG, a short distance from the Goodwood entrance. We convoyed in from there and it worked fine. It's pretty close to the venue, so not a long convoy.

Unless anyone has any other suggestions?

If anyone has a problem and can no longer attend, the Dutch Mazda Club are looking for an extra stand pass.

Previous goodwood events have all been hard standing so we should be ok. They normally line up cars in the pits and along the track. Sometimes overflow in the on-site car parks.

@Tim, what time should we arrange to meet and leave the RV point?

I'm assuming the event opens to the public at 10am, so the organisers would want us on site prior to that? I'm guessing traffic might build up as we approach 10am, so would meeting at 9am, to leave no later than 9.15am be OK?

Maybe we'll get some more info when the site passes are issued though? I'm hoping there might be a site plan included, so we know where we are headed :D

My pass for the Dutch Stand has just arrived, area "L2 33" )wherever that is!) v- can someone confirm their number. I'm hoping it will be an adjacent number! This is the instruction sheet that arrived too:

Club Info - Classic Japfest.pdf

There is some conflicting information regarding arrival latest arrival time; "Last Entry 9.00am" on sheet and "Vehicles must be parked on club stands by 09:30. Any club cars who arrive after 09:30 WILL NOT be allowed inside the show" on the email.

I've also got no idea which entrance is designated "L" and therefore where we will be directed on the day (there are 4 possible entrances; L, R, P and S). So our route may not follow exactly the one I have posted!

So, I think my suggestion to meet up at 9.00am and leave in convoy at 9.15am is leaving things a bit tight, especially as I suspect there will be some queuing involved. How do people think about meet up ~8.30am to depart at 8.45am, meaning we should get to the entrance by the 9.00am deadline?

This won't help!

"The Chichester half marathon is taking place on Sunday which might cause delays to your journey to the show. There is a road closure in place on New Road, just north of the circuit between 09:00 and 10:00.

If you are travelling from the NORTH: Follow the A27 to the Portfield Roundabout and then follow the signage to Goodwood Motor Circuit rather than coming off the A27 at the previous junction which would bring you to the closed road.

If you are travelling from the SOUTH: Follow the Chichester bypass (A27) avoiding going through Chichester town centre where more road closures will be in place."

Someone has just dropped out so should be able to use the pass. I will get hold of it an email it across.

My pass says the same, looks like they have moved over all bookings to the same stand.

The pass has the car reg number on, so the "donor" will need to log onto their account and change the reg number to the recipient's car. They can then save the pass as a PDF and email it to the recipient.

I'll check with the Dutch group to see if they still need it and the Reg number

Are you, and others, happy with the revised RV times?

That's weird, so yours say L2 33?

I checked with another person booked onto the RX7fb.com stand and they said their pass was L2 11. Not sure if L2 is the Zone, and the Stand is 33, or the stand is L2 and all cars have a unique number.
