As far as older cars come. I always thought that old Mazda's had pretty good boxes aye! A good position, positive feel, and a nice throw . Nothing compared to modern cars of today though! hahah.
I must heat my garage and the shifter 20h to get good results with the sikaflex 221 i. After fitting also a new rubber mount for the box, all working like new when made some test drive now.
Especially the rear gear problem was fixed now. No gases inside anymore.

I would recommend this type for more security if the centrifugal forces on your rear will be higher then standard or rust was a killer of your parts. So the two screw breaking on the road, you will need a new car i think.
