RH headlight motor

Post by Herman »

Possibly looking for a RH headlight motor, if anyone's got one spare?

It looks like I toasted mine by plugging in an unsuitable relay.

(Unless anyone happens to know the spec of the diode within them, in which case I'll try and replace the component :?: )

Got motors for both sides.
Will see if they work if you still need one

I certainly do, thank you!

I think I may have found a lead on eBay selling one for £35 posted, but I'd rather buy from a fellow RX7FB member if possible, to help keep it in the club! th:

Hi Mark,

Seem to have it sorted now - replaced one of the diodes that had blown in the switch on the motor, which has fixed it nicely.

Thanks anyway,

Hi Herman, do you know what diode you needed, it may help others with the same problem in future if they find this thread

The diode in there was a Hitachi sr1k-4 , but I used a generic shunt resistor I found on an old PCB with similar values on the multimeter - 450 ish IIIRC.
