I've moved the discussion on mots to another section to clean up your thread Keith... not that it helps with the plate... I think you may still need to get it mot'd to get it off

If you want to take the plate off you used to need an MOT to be able to do it, but I don't know if thats still necessary now the car is MOT exempt, would be worth speaking to the DVLA and see what they say, but expect to get confusion and need to make lots of repeat phone calls and get lots of different answers from DVLA staff that don't know what they're doing.

Re: the red line on the speedo. In the Japanese spec ones an annoying bell starts dinging at that speed.

Good score Keith, you actually only just pipped me to the post for this one but I guess I've got enough S1's for a bit.
The two british S1's I had both had similar handles to an S2 but my Swiss one has the same as yours.
