Thanks Pete - Red - I've never have guessed that!
DKWW2000 wrote: Fri Apr 27, 2018 3:14 pmAll photos seem to be fine with me Malcolm.
The pics are fine now, as I've had to go to the faff of uploading them to Flicker and then inserting links. I prefer not to do that, given the PhotoBucket experience, but when I tried to upload more than one pic directly to the forum server, all I got was the first photo and a load of errors for the rest :?

So, red, or maybe grey  Any further ideas? I guess no-one probably saw one new-ish to know for sure :D

seized rear hatch lock barrels are quite common... they can take a good while to free off... just keep putting wd40 into it and trying to turn it... eventually the pins should move and you will be able to free it off.

Thanks Ian, I'll keep soaking it then - no mad rush whilst I get the rear hatch paint area sorted.

As posted on Facebook, this is what a brand new hatch logo looks like. It's a bronzey metallic colour:

Just checked mine and you are right with the colour, the lighting in my garage is not that good.

Thanks guys. Not sure how close I can get to that "bronzey-metallic", but I know what I should be aiming for now :D

I gave mine a quick wipe today and looks like that. Was quite surprised it was still visible  . Strange colour - I was thinking black, silver and brown mixed together haha

Rear hatch area refurb progressing slowly. Happy with the improvement here, given I'm using rattle cans:

I've repainted the black lip on the rear hatch glass and the black trims on the rear side glass pieces - they look a lot better. Pics later.
