This was my first major journey in KIMI 2 since I acquired her last year, and the longest trip she has done in over 12 years! I'm pleased to report she did the 180 mile journey (avoiding Motorways) with ZERO issues. She drove flawlessly, the only issue to report was an annoying small vibration in the cabin at some speeds which I identified was coming from the cowling around the steering column switchgear cover. Should be easy to fix.
I'm now driven another 80 miles or so from Combe to Poole, again without problems, so I think she's now proven herself to be reliable
Now to JapDay, the "new Japfest" at Castle Combe. I reckon it was about 70% the attendance of the previous Japfests at that site, which meant it had plenty of atmosphere without the manic entry/exit roads to/from the venue, nor the ludicrously overcrowding of the track perimeter roads inside the venue.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time on the RX-8 Owners Club Stand (my other cars being an RX-8, another FB and a Jazz

). The RX-8 OC stand was located with a fantastic view of the track and and welcomed a variety of rotary engined cars onto their stand. My FB attracted a lot of interest, not least because I was only aware of one other FB at the event, a red one, with wheel arch extensions that I briefly glimpsed driving by. Was that anyone on here
