Thanks Ian and Keith. I really felt great this evening, knowing the work over the past few weeks has paid off. Getting her moving has taken more work and £ than I had hoped, but well worth it to feel her move under her own power at last :D

Yes, reasonably confident on the MOT. Hopefully, even if she fails, it'll be something not to difficult to fix (I hope!)

Thanks guys, it's seeing some of the great work done on these cars by others on this forum that really inspires me W(p

OK, progress on the pesky caliper - 3 hours ofattacking with wire wheels, various Dremel tools and very fine Wet and dry for the bore and piston. Then a few coats of ali VHT paint and she's ready for the new seals I fortuitously ordered from RockAuto when getting the clutch kit. A large tub of brake grease and fresh fluid standing by...

Bad news is, I have other commitments for the next 10 days and can't do anything more until then.

Long overdue update....

Had to wait 8 weeks for a custom screen to be made and fitted. This has now been done and I've tarted up the trims with some satin black from a rattle can whilst they were off the car. New trim clips fitted all round, thanks for advice on this forum on USA source for those.

Car will be insured as of midnight tonight with Peter Best (Hiscox Classic Car policy) and MOT is now booked for next Monday, so fingers crossed everyone that we'll have another one back on the road. Ian Mothersole and I took her for a short run on a private road last Sunday and she seems OK. Brakes need a bit of effort (need to check servo) but she pulls up straight and the wheels will lock up in emergency stop mode.
