Another mod was to grind back the acelerator pump stops to give a longer AP stroke. This will help to smooth out the transition when the secondaries are operated, using the mechanical secondaries mod. Driving using mechanical secondaries can be a lot of fun because you have direct control over the secondaries but if you stomp on the accelerator under say 3000 RPM there is a tendancy for the engine to bog down - the AP mod helps in this regard. The AP will be installed using additional gaskets to increase the volume displaced.

The booster venturis can arms can be cut back and filed to an aerofoil shape to help with the airflow. Polish them with 2000 grit for extra slippery-ness.

Nothing much to report at the moment on the carb as I've been trying to iron out some issues with the engine rebuild and MSD ignition first. The "Sterling" carb is in a box still but if I get a chance I'll try to put it on the car this weekend. I have welded in an exhaust bung and installed and Innovate AFR gauge/logger so will use that to tune the carb in terms of mixture, jetting, accelerator pump shot, transition between mechanical primaries and secondaries, etc. I'm expecting good results from the carb and expect the Double S exhaust will be the limiting factor due to the small diameter.
I dont get to work on the car as much as i would like these days so progress has been slow. I'll post an update in the next few weeks.

Unfortunately no update on the Nikki yet Thomas. It's sitting in a box, ready to be reassembled but I just haven't had the time to do anything with it recently.
