Inlet manifold O Rings

I have a pair of these that I was trying to put into place today. They have been sitting in my car for some time and they appear to have expanded?? They will not fit inside the little lip

What if I put them in the fridge overnight? Will they shrink back enough to fit ... or should I order some more? Advice welcome as always

Have they been in place in the manifold Dave? Is that what you mean by 'sitting in the car'?
If 'Yes' the answer must be to get new ones.

I'll second what Nik said. To an extent!

. I'd say bang in some core plugs aye. I think I used 20mm for mine. Would come in handy if ya ever need to remove the intake without coolant coming out

For those who have gone with the core plug conversion, where have you sourced these things from? It appears that the size required is either 19mm or 20mm. So I thought I'd get a pair of each to cover all bases.
I can find them on EBay if I want 5 or 10 of each. I've tried 4 local auto factors ... three said no and one could supply 20mm plugs but had none in stock.

So, any suggestions? Otherwise I'll have to ask Mr EBay.

I never did it, wish I had. Sodding thing still leaks. One day I'll be narked enough with it to rip the manifold off and do it properly.

I went through my Amazon history as that is where I got mine from. I can confirm that I got 20mm plugs aye. I'm sure the ones Nik just posted would be fine though. A quick Google brought up the following threads that also use 20mm core/welch/freeze plugs. There are even pictures
