Re: London Classic Car Show 2014
As I mentioned earlier, here's James May's picks for 'Cars That Changed The World'. I anyone has seen his rather excellent 'Cars of The People' series, you may see some familiar shapes here ....

Prius, just in case you were wondering

A strange mounting angle ... inspiration unknown

Note the red coach striping
the universal 'pimp my ride' modification

Civic EB1 A mate got one from his Dad when he started Uni so it was one of the first cars that I got to ride in on a regular basis. They are still around back home but a rare sight here

So is this what Bruno Mars takes his moniker from??

and so ... to the final candidate ...

There was an area set up as a tributr to the undeniable brilliance that is one Adrian Newey. Thesa are his inspirations ...

This was one of his father's cars, a Riley RMF

One of his first scale models ... Gold Leaf Lotus

Always on the cutting edge of rule interperetation

McLaren F1 ... the road car that beat Le Mans

This is his own GT40. A regular entrant and winner at the Goodwood Revival.

Jaguar SS100

Leyton House March 881 .. His first success in F1

March again, in Group C guise

Another of his Dad's cars

and another, Lotus Elan Sprint

That scale model is being built full size from the ground up

Moving on .... I can't remember what this was

but it has a trio of these which are packaged rather nicely

and speaking of nice packaging

attached to a Lamborghini Espada .. appologies for the cramped shot

Le Mans Legends

Had to get some TWR goodness in here somewhere

Larry Perkins ...Aussie Legend 8)

More legends ... HILL

STEWART

FANGIO

KEEP FIGHTING MICHAEL

Almost done .. has anyone ever seen one of these?

Ok, this is a big clue here

1962 Ford Saxon ...

and finally, remember I asked you this question?

Well, it was the development code name for this .......

Thankyou and goodnight

Nice photos Dave.... ah, yes, the FW14B.... the best ever F1 car.... I was at Silverstone in 1992 to see Mansell win the British Grand Prix in this car, the year he won the championship... it was just streets ahead of the other cars, he blew Senna away that day, awesome!

Bristol 400
Thanks for taking the time, Dave. Some cracking photos there. I saw that carbon EB110 at Goodwood about ten years ago and it's haunted my dampest dreams ever since
