Re: Hello all
Hi Mark,
Have a look in Spotter's Corner on here if you're UK based.
Series 1's (that's 1978 to 1982), in good condition don't appear very often but they do pop up occasionally.

Re: Hello all
Series 1 is typically 79-80 dude, plus late 78, and maybe a few stragglers in 81.
You got some as late as 82?

Re: Hello all
Do you actually mean a series 1 car Mark, ( very early 1st generation) or any model of 1st gen from 1979 to 1985 which include the series 2 and series 3 variants?
1999 Jaguar XJR V8 Supercharged
1992 Peugeot 205 1.9 GTI
2003 Mercedes SLK 200 Kompressor

Re: Hello all
That was the purpose of my comment.....to see if Mark meant actually 1st generation Series 1 or in fact any 1st gen car.
Tool, No I just guessed at 1982 from memory.

Many thanks for your input. Do I take it you have a 1982 for sale?
A 1981, 1982, 1983 age car would be ideal me thinks. They appear to be the most original from that poin tof view. However if anyone has other opinions then glad to hear as I am a novice on RX7's
I am on 07717 431 653, if I don't pick up straight away its because I work nights. So a message or text please
Thanks
Mark

Re: Hello all
No, None for sale, sorry. I meant I'd found 2 on my register.
There IS a bit of confusion here Mark, let me explain.
The 1st Generation RX7 used to be called a Mark 1 many years ago. Then we dropped into line on various Forums with the US and adopted the distinction Series 1, Series 2 and Series3.
All these 1,2,3 Series cars are 1st Generation with virtually identical body shapes (but quite a few underbody differences). I'm thinking now these are all the cars you're generally interested in.
The most original cars for the purists are the Series 1 machines, stretching from 1978 to late reg stragglers in 1982. These are the rarest.
Series 2 went from around 1981 through to 1984. These are readily available.
Series 3 went from 1984 to around 1886, with a few reg stragglers.........again readily available.
My favourite is the S3, but I'm a fat, slow, lazy old lard bag who likes more creature comforts. I think performance is similar on all cars, until you start modding or get an Elford Turbo.
You need to research the running gear differences and other differences on here to decide which you'd like.
Hope that helps.
