What do those elfords go like? Does that engine differ internally from the standard s3 donk? And is that some kind of vented heat shield on the back of the turbo? Looks like a neat little set up.
Elfords go OK..... not fire breathing monsters but up the power quite a bit.They use the standard engine with stock compression to maintain off boost drive-ability and the boost is limited to 6psi giving 165 bhp. I'm going to up the boost a bit on this car though, it's reckoned they will safely run 10 or 11 psi without problem. Manufacturers always play safe and set things a bit low to prevent warranty claims.
The heat shield on top of the turbo has a vent that, in a usual Elford setup, sends warm air to the blue air filter box that Elfords retained. I've got rid of that blue air filter box and I'm going to duct cool air from in front of the rad directly into the carb.
