Re: Project WTF HAVE I DONE
If you have another issue finding a screen, try National Windscreens. They sometimes have them in stock. If not, it's a few weeks lead time and they will get Pilkington Glass to make one (and that doesn't cost extra either). They did my screen last year and they are a mobile service so they will come to you.

Re: Project WTF HAVE I DONE
got loads done today as i had some holiday left and took advantage of the nice weather to crack into this
I removed most of the dashboard and center console, removed last of dodgy carpet and got rid of the ford auto gear linkage mounted into the car
removed seized wiper motor system, have my eye on a single wiper set up from another car that I might fit in
found a 2" hole on the passenger side above the glove box under the sound proofing in the wiper tray, will remove dashboard fully and weld a plate inside so thats the source of the water getting in
cut the windscreen out in one piece and got into restoring the metal work in the tray under the screen, ground it back, treated with jenolite rust cure then filled primed and painted today with th help of a heat gun to get the paint to go off fully. Then simply gaffer taped the old screen back in to secure the screen and water proof it again until the next nice day

I now have all parts required for this so will be piling into it in the evenings as its getting lighter now, heres another update
Bay all painted satin black throughout now

Also took delivery of a huge bag of various stainless steel bolts so all bolts will be replaced as i go along with shiny heads

Re: Project WTF HAVE I DONE
Today another big job completed and that was a brand new windscreen fitted, asked them not to replace the trims as I will be respraying before they go back on but thats a biggy done
been working here and there on the engine, all the parts are here now ready to go together, desperately need a clutch alignment tool to finish that and just been cleaning the block ready for spraying a nice silver all over. all the injection system from the ford engine is complete and just by luck a guy at work turned up with the missing loom that i have not been able to find on any ford club ive joined so work will be full steam ahead after easter due to my current workload

Re: Project WTF HAVE I DONE
great easter weekend, I fitted a new sump gasket and sump and yesterday popped this on my own, took about 3 hours and nearluy finished just need to replace some dodgy bolts I found on one engine mount
The drive shaft fits perfect and the gearstick lines up exactly with the hole, I may heat it up and bend it back slightly when the seats are in as 1st seems close to the dashboard
heres an update anyway

Good progress. Shorter stick or short shift might fix the problem?
