Re: Hi I'm a New Member
Thanks to everyone for the nice comments about my Car, I feel very welcome.
I have not really been active in this sort of forum or felt comfortable to show my car due to a real bad experience about 20yrs ago when I joined the Mazda RX7 Owners Club as it was back then. I went to my first Car Show with the Club which was local in Maidstone Kent along with about 6 other Mk1's and 2's who had come from the Club. Not one of them made a real effort to say hello or welcome me to the group and I found myself wishing I had not bothered coming at all!! It was a long day and I was pleased when my wife turned up with the kids so I at least had some company for the rest of the day. I think part of the problem was I had the best car, for condition and it was the oldest one there and I guess they didnt like it.
Well that unfortunately put paid to me ever going to another meet or Car Show which is a shame as I do feel that I have missed out. With the renewed interest that me and my Car have been shown on here I will try to make an effort and get her out and about a bit more.
I'm not keen on traveling great distances as I do find driving the car for long journeys really plays havoc with my back, I'm getting Old!! I was a young 22 yr old when I bought the car and I'm now a 55 yr Old worn out Builder!
Once again thank you to all members that have made very welcome with some lovely comments
Regards
Lee
