Hi everyone. I'm Pip Gardner, the G of WGT. Been around rotaries since I built my first engine in 1975.
Don't have an FB at the moment, sold our ( my son Adam owned half of it ) FB race project just before Christmas to make way for something a bit more extreme. Mazda 121 with 13B PP driving rear wheels, built in the mid 90's but never raced, been in a container ever since. Part spaceframe, fully caged, weighs around 800kg at the moment, but getting lighter all the time. Hope to have it ready for trackdays at least later this year.
First RX7 I owned was built from a bare shell acquired from Chris Hodgetts, ex touring car racer, which I then built into a rally car. Next was an ex Walkinshaw SA RX7 race car that I raced for several seasons in a local series based at Oulton Park, even managing to win a class championship. This car is now in southern Ireland being campaigned in historic rallies by Fintan Foley.
Looking forward to enjoying the club
Pip

Hi Pip,
Nice to see you here.
The secret is out !..... work progressing well on the rally car, but i'm still welding when the weather permits.
At some point I will post a build thread.
Cheers
Derek.

Re: Hello all
And for those that dont know Pip is neglecting to mention the dozens of top step trophies his engines delivered for me over the years, with close to zero reliability issues, and I'm sure others too.
Good for you, getting on a sensible forum is a good move in the modern world. Not many are sensible though..

Re: Hello all
Welcome Pip, great to have you here.
I bought an fb front bumper from you many moons ago when you were at your old place.
I have been meaning to call in as a friend of mine (keith Reay) works at aquafax.
