DIY Brake refurb

Post by richrx » Fri May 27, 2016 4:44 pm

Hi,

Just thought i would post up the results of my rear caliper refurb, the piston on the rear left was sticking and on inspection both boots were torn.... This cost me £22.

I'll let the photos do the talking and link to the guide i used.

I hadn't seen that link before. Thanks! I recently had one of those Mazda rear brake rebuild kits arrive with a bunch of other bits from Atkins. Haven't gotten around to rebuilding them yet though

Its simple enough, the hardest part is removing the rust.... But a food dose of citric acid does that job easily :)

Going through my favourites on Google Chrome and found a useful link for rebuilding rear brake calipers aye. I'll post it here for if anybody needs it in the future :)
