Back in the day RX's from NZ

Post by KiwiDave » Mon Feb 06, 2017 3:42 pm

Back home in 1986, I was rocking a RX3 coupe with a 12a bridgeport. Imagine my surprise when I discovered footage from said period, a MREC race meeting at Baypark Raceway (sadly no longer in existence).
I'm in the blue one with the ducktail spoiler, right at the beginning in a rather brilliant (and modest) second place. If you are eagle eyed and not bored after the first few minutes, you'll spot me at 15.40, 16.43 and 17.23 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Ma0sGamx0A sya

Oh how do i like the 80ties. Same all over the world: big wheels, thick tires men with long hairs, good music and engine sound.
Dave, make new Zealand great again
