Why a new forum?

Post by ian65 » Thu Mar 31, 2011 10:14 pm

This forum has been set up to hopefully encourage the ownership of and interest in the classic Mazda RX7 1st generation sports car.

There are numerous great forums on the web but most cater for all rotary powered cars and include the 1st gen along with other models. This sometimes results in the 1st gens being allocated one page only on a forum and although valuable information is posted, it tends to become 'lost' or hard to relocate once it 'drops off the page'.

This forum will be dedicated to the 1st generation RX7 and the information posted will be located in easy to find catagories which will hopefully build into a great resource for existing and new owners alike.

Although these cars are very few and far between in the UK, there is still a huge following worldwide with a wealth of knowledge out there. Main dealer support has, in the main, vanished for these cars and it is being proven that the knowledge is with the owners these days.... hopefully this forum will help draw it all together.

Lets all contribute what we know about these wonderful cars and maybe persuade others to find out what they've been missing... we need more 1st gens on the road!

The forum has been set up with only the pre-installed rules and restrictions. I hope it will be a friendly and happy place to visit and chat with fellow enthusiasts. We're all adults and know how to behave. If it becomes neccessary to put any restrictions in place, we'll have to look at that when the time comes ( or hopefully doesn't!)
In the meantime, thanks for taking the time to read this and enjoy the forum.
Remember, the more we put into it, the more we will get out of it!!
