Well, what a damn fine day it turned out to be. Fantastic venue and what a turnout. Far too much to see in one day unless you are super organised and not liable to being distracted by ...erm ... classic cars.

James and I were reasonably lucky to get directed to a rather nice parking area as well. Quite a few photographer type people with massive, err, equipment seemed to be drawn to James' RX7 for some reason h[b[

Tip for anyone planning to attend the October event, get there real early unless you love to queue. James got us round to a side road which saved a good chunk of time getting in.

Anyway, as James has mentioned previously, I did end up with a few snaps and I wasn't really that into taking photos but a few things caught my eye so here you are....

The almost obligatory classic car show star 300SL Gullwing can't help but look fabulous.

Lamborghini LM002. Originally designed for military use. Probably before things like budget constraints and cutbacks were military buzzwords. Take the V12 out of the Countach and drop it in there. Fit a 300 liter fuel tank just because and ask Mister Pirelli to design special Scorpion Tires just for us please.
Image

Of course, there were civilian versions as well and if a Countach powerplant wasn't your thing, how about a 7.2 liter marine spec v12 instead? Just look at the massive TI**S on that !!! ;) TIRES!

That's just a fraction of what was on show. Put it in your diaries now for later this year or around the same time next year. h:

Fantastic pictures Dave 0-0 Looked like a fantastic show that must have been hard to get all in, unusual to have such a large event so early on in the season. Certainly one I will consider in future. My favourite was the Opel Commodore GSE, looked like a Nut & Bolt restore. s(c)

Definitely up for future events. I've seen photos of the board track bike with the model aeroplane engine online, would be great to see it in the flesh :)

That's odd, the photos are all hosted on an external website and the links are in Dave's post. All seems to be fine to me on PC and Android phone.

How are you viewing, on a phone, PC, Apple or....?

What browser are you using?

Does this display OK? If not, what do you see?

On an iPad, they start to open then just revert to the blue box, and the one you have added Showa as a blue box.

Malcolm, All working on my laptop, I think it must be my iPad its one of the first ones and will not remember my logins and keeps logging me out. Apple are not interested all they want to do is sell you a new one.
