Extra speakers or small subwoofer to stock amp?

Post by DeanRX7 » Sat Feb 16, 2019 2:30 pm

Hey guys,

After too many years and too much money, my 7 is back at home. Interior is going back in now and hoping in the next month or so to get the Dutch version of my MOT and insurance sorted. My question which I couldn't find an answer on here, is, Can you connect an extra 2 speakers to the standard amp?

I have just bought some new speakers, like I was recommended through here, and they come with some wires/cables. The speakers I bought connected easy enough to the old wiring but I thought why not see if I could add the new wires, attach them to the current wiring set up and see if it would work. It does put sound through but would this be ok long term? Or...maybe.... I add a small subwoofer as a 5th speaker to the current amp?

Thanks, Dean.

Depends on what impedance in German "ohm" does your speakers have. For example 4 ohm or 6 ohm and how you connect them.
