1984 Series 3 project. £950

This old mazda has been a project that I was just about to start - 12 years ago! I bought the car from a local chap who took it off the road when he got into Subaru's. Once at the workshop some fresh fuel and a battery saw the car run and drive fine. I took it a 10 mile blast and all was well apart from the carb, which needed a rebuild. I took it off and then the car got pushed to the back of the garage as I bought an e34 M5. It was the next job to be done but then I got married had kids etc etc. The car stayed there for the next 12 years untill I had to move it back to my drive a week ago.

It has faired well in storage but will now require a full rebuild - welding, suspension, brakes, engine, paintwork (if you want a show car but a really good polish would make it presentable - look at before and after a bucket of soapy water pictures). The carb is no longer here and I would imagine the engine will need work.

I believe the car is complete minus the carb (possibly the airfilter) and the front bumper was forcefully removed, damaged badly but still here. The removeable sunroof section has also been damaged but should be repairable.I have left it in the boot and covered the car to protect it from the weather. The outside door handles dont work and only the drivers interior handle works. The rear bumper has been bumped while in storage and it has a few scratches but it is 36 years old! It looks like someone has tried to hot wire it.

It wont be on the road in a weekend but it would be a good project for someone with the potential to make a few quid.

No keys or V5 but still looking . . . .
