I have got a sawn off g/box input shaft if you want to borrow it to centralise the friction plate.
Engine bay is looking great in those pics s(c)
Thanks for the offer of the shaft but should be OK thanks,
Pete

In addition to what's been mentioned, there are 2 bolts which are not threaded all the way up and are a bit longer iirc. These need to go back into the correct holes on the flywheel.

Also, your clutch is for a S3, which is 225mm not 215mm like in the S1 and S2. Make sure you get the right one.

Pete check your main bearing of the gearbox. Easy to pull of with two long bolts from the gearbox and the the small part from the gearbox mounting brackets.
I run closed bearings instead of open from mazda. S3 box. (your biggest catch isn´t the fish in spain it´s your car s(c) :) )

Clutch all fitted, no real problems. Friction plate down to rivets :!: :!: Only thing to do is adjust the Pedal back to Standard setting which is probably the hardest part as it is sod to get at if your not made of rubber
A lot of wear after only 58K, perhaps a previous owner had a heavy foot or liked drifting.

Thanks everyone for help & info, proved most useful,

Regards Pete

Been looking for a while to fit a 3rd brake light but could not find anything that I thought looked suitable, until now:-

It slips in under the rubber seal quite easily:-

Looks like it should be there. It came from a 99 Vectra & was stripped down to its PCB & lense, then just wired into brake light feed.
