good idea or not?

Dad refuses to use it he says it knackers the piston rings etc, I know that dosnt appyly to Rotary;s but just thinking with the old girl being stood for a while I should flush out the engine next time I do a oil change!

Well, you put it in with the old oil, and run it for a few minutes to get it round the engine...so I can see your Dad's concerns, but I have used them, and they do help to clean out the old gunk, and the new oil stays cleaner for much longer after the oil change :)

That said...I wouldn't use it on a rotary with an OMP...
