Rear diff removal

Hopefully a quickey

Planning on pulling the rear axle and diff out to swap out the wheel bearings and bushings. Also planning on giving it a paint.

I was wondering if there is a gasket between the diff and the axle. Cant see one on the parts fiche. Is it RTV?

I counted about 20 Elford turbos. Do you have an exact number split by series?

Re: vacuum or fueling issue.

Are you sure it's coolant? Is it loosing any?

If you have put oil or aft in it to help the compression along it takes ages to clear tn out.

Re: vacuum or fueling issue.

I would block off the vaccum advance and give it a go, timing should of course be set at a natural idle but if you have moved it too far off you may be getting it moving as the engine warms and the speed increases. It should not change without a change in engine speed / vacuum.

Re: vacuum or fueling issue.

I think I still have most of the vac system parts from the engine that the carb came from and don't need any of i...

Re: Stainless Exhausts

The front section is the elford system which is stainless and in good condition. The rear section and back box are the original mild steel mazda system.
