Re: Rear end options for more power? (With UK Parts)

As noted above, a Torsen will be OK with 350hp. Depending on how you drive, the axles might be the first to go however. 26 spline series 3 axles are superior to the earlier 24 spline kind. Stronger axles are definitely worth considering. If you push past 350hp, it would be worthwhile consider upgrad...

Re: Kenlowe Fans.... ( and other electric fan stuff )

That beehive must make a massive difference (detrimentally) to cooling. I agree. I put the behaviour Thomas has observed down to the beehive cooler. The coolant circuit for the beehive is as follows: rear housing > oil cooler oil cooler > t-piece on heater return rail heater return rail > BOTTOM ra...

Re: Kenlowe Fans.... ( and other electric fan stuff )

When the Spal fan diidn't work the naturally air flow through the engine room will be reduced so you can get heat peaks iin the rear engine housings. Test airflow visc vs Spal are more interesting. Any numbers ? I can certainly understand your logic here. The viscous clutch fan is constantly moving...

Re: 1985 Mazda RX7....Its Black!

Great work, well done! Love the interior restoration work you've done. I'll need to many of these same things myself, such as repainting the back of the rear seat etc. If you ever ever do want to change your radio/cassette to the UK spec one, you know who to sell your one to ;) :D (a guy can try :lo...

Re: A Kiwis Series 3

Make sure the water pump and housing is torqued properly. The studs sometimes have a habit of breaking loose in which case you won't be able to get it tight enough. It might be worthwhile reinstalling the studs with new stud lock. Do you know what the torque setting is for the water pump housing nu...

Re: A Kiwis Series 3

Great progress! You'll definitely need to use the 3 bolt water pump housing from the 13B motor. Is it a series 5 or series 4? You can tell by the thermostat housing - series 4 is 2 bolt flange, where series 5 has a 3 bolt flange for the thermostat housing neck and a recess as the thermostat has an o...

The lower side sills are still available new, but I don't believe the floor pan and chassis rail sections are. In the parts manual the front floor pan is only listed as an entire assembly. I doubt you'll be able to buy entire floor pans.

Re: £50 Genuine mazda oil filter

S3 came with large filter originally. The smaller type came in some time around the original MX5. Mazda has different OEM suppliers for oil filters depending on where you are. They often get local OEM to make them and brand them Mazda. The part numbers change every few years too. What you get from M...

Yep factory colour is dark bronzey colour. These are silver. The guy is in Sydney and i asked him about std colour. He made these because he prefers the look but is making up some black ones too which will be closer to original (but not quite).
