Re: Teenager with an S3

The springs are definitely in their seat properly, after I fitted them I held them firm with two hands and they wouldn't move, and I can see they're sat right top and bottom. Ill check the damper top mounts but I don't think its those :?

Re: Teenager with an S3

I know it's still sky high, which is why I'm concerned there's clunking, I would understand a bit more if it was on the floor, but its only around 10mm lower I think. The MX5 short shifter has had a few write ups, you can buy an RX7 specific shifter, but you'd be mad to spend £150 on one, particular...

Re: Bump Stops

I have no bump stops on the back of my car, and I have just fitted some direnza lowering springs. I now have a bit of clunking from the rear end, would this be the cause? What could I use for bump stops on a lower car? Cheers

Re: Teenager with an S3

Small Update, I bought a short shifter, one of the cheap MX5 ones off ebay, with a bit of modification I got it to fit, much shorter throw, I love it :D definitely an acquired taste as it makes the gearchange stiffer, obviously due to the reduced mechanical advantage, but It didn't take long to get ...

Re: Teenager with an S3

I haven't updated for a bit, Slacking. I used a brake pipe spanner in the end, and had fun with the bearing and hammer and chisel before giving it to a friendly mechanic with a press. My clutch release bearing seems worse now the wheel bearing is silent  Also I have finally got the back seat o...

Re: A Kiwis Series 3

In my opinion "P" plates end up causing people to cut you up and try to get past at any cost. Not everyone is like that but there are a lot of impatient drivers

FC coilovers in FB

After talking with Neil from Driftoy I think I can make FC coilovers work. Basically he cuts the old strut up and welds a threaded sleeve to the old strut, then the bottom of the FC coilover will thread in. I think the top mounts could be slotted to fit, and in the rear a similar thing, re drilling,...
