I don't have one to measure, but need to order one.

I've used the Strongaarm struts, they are fine, do a good job and I think swapping the electrics might be easier than you think. (not that I have done it !)

I used a roll over jig on the rally car, so much easier to get at everything.

I found that if you just change one, it's usually enough to hold the hatch up. No worries with the electricles that way.
