Re: Hello all!!

Welcome to the forum. You'll find lots of elford info and support here.

And pics. We love pics. Recommend you use imgur for posting pics (or anything that works for you apart from photobucket cos it's crap now).

Re: TWiR 1986 S3 TWR

Just a little TLC before heading to Goodwood for the Retrorides Weekender. The remaining section of exhaust which is not crafted in stainless steel has decided to complain. There a little leaks from clamps and welds. It became necessary to apply a section of bandage for a recent trip to Silverstone ...

That bracket looks very professionel, but better you do not mount it with that rusty screw ;s;

Re: Old town classic Staufen 2018

Nice Thomas. Especially liking the Wankel Spider.

And what is the car in the last photo? White with the grey panels. Looks very smart.

Re: Tyres for series 3 RX7

I have Nexen CP 641 205/60 R14's on mine. They seem to hold the road well in the dry but as I don't drive mine in the wet I don't know how they would perform. Let's put it this way they are 100% better than the 15 year old Dunlops that were on there. Dibs They are awful in the wet. Cold + wet + har...

Re: Tyres for series 3 RX7

Digging up an old thread as it tyre time. Stock S3 rim. The selection of 205/60r14 is still small. Current picks seem to be Khumo Escta and Nankang NS2. I read somewhere that the car actually handles better on 195/60r14 with better steering feel? There is a wider selection including some Continenti...

Re: Keith's red S1

Hmmm 🤔 this is all new to me!! Do UK ones look the same? JPEG_20160604_230426_-589365565.jpg That is the same as the s1 where the whole of the handle lifts to open the door. On both my S3's the top of the handle stays still and there is a lift up section underneath that opens the latch. I can't see...

Re: Keith's red S1

Funny red line on the speedo @ 60mph. For What? All JDM speedos are like that. National speed limits are 80 to 100 km/h. Some cars (like my TE55 Corolla Levin) had an annoying plinky plink warning that activates over 100km/h. Very easy though to find the little box from which the annoying sound ema...

Re: Keith's red S1

Funny red line on the speedo @ 60mph. For What? Also that auto box would have tempted me Keith. As an old Josser, usually driving round laid back with my feet on the dashboard it would have really suited. Bring Gus down I'll swap it over 😁 I need your clutch pedal ! Swaps have been done both ways b...
