You can still find 5.1 if you go hunting
Very hard to find.

I know where there’s a set and he wants moon beams for it.

Re: Rear end options for more power? (With UK Parts)

The Mazda 7” LSD is roughly twice as strong as the stock open diff.

The 26 spline (S3) LSD side gears can be machined to take a 28 spline axle.
Then get some axles made up.
Stronger again.

This will handle any NA rotor motor you install.

Re: Keith's red S3

Depends on how aggressive the bridge is.

Have you got angle cuts in the housings on both primary and secondary?

The assist piece won’t like running over the cut out in the housing.

Re: Keith's red S3

You gotta go steel seals.

They’ll be harder on the housings though.

But you can still get early housings unlike the carbon seals.

Re: Soft seal/gasket kits

Atkins is very good.

The seals are NLA. I sold my last set to Jimbo about 3 years ago.

Re: Keith's red S3

Yeah, carbon seals will even begin to break up in storage.

What seals you planning to run?

13B 3mm carbon seals are NLA dude.

Re: Rear end options for more power? (With UK Parts)

A S3 rear end fitted with a clutch type LSD or Torsen centre will take 350 bhp.

These are bolt in fitment. I have built and installed both types.
