Re: The Latest 1st gen sightings

Yes, Rich was at Bicester Village with that car this year, and also did a few very impressive laps of the track at JDM Combe this year too. A pretty fair asking price for the standard of the car and the mods. Indeed a good asking price. Shame I don't have room I could have fun taking that to track ...

Re: The Latest 1st gen sightings

Interesting spec list if someone is looking for a modified example. Judging by the pictures it looks like it may have been displayed at one of the rotary days at Bicester Heritage. I guess its known to the club already?

Re: Centre caps

Feel like I should have posted an update a very long time ago, but finally got around to dealing with my centre caps! So I sanded them using 120 grit paper to start, gradually going finer and finer up to 800 and then switching to wet and dry 1000, 1500 and then 2000 grit. No need to go any finer rea...

Many thanks. That would make it worth my while. I'll try and see if I can get the time off now. :)

Re: ***Rotary Day at Bicester Heritage Hangar (Oxford); Saturday, 12 July***

Wow, there are now 109 rotaries paid up for this event. Absolutely amazing! The limit is 120, so if you were thinking of going, not much time left before it sells out! How many FB's and Elford FB's going Casey? Call me a purist if you like but I'm interested if enough FB's will be there, but not re...

Sports cars in the park, Newby Hall 24/9/23

Hi Everyone. I realise that some of you are already planning on attending the Brands Hatch show on the 24/9, but I will be at the Newby Hall Sportcars in the Park event instead as its much closer to me. Just thought I'd post this up here in case anyone else is thinking about it as well. So far no ot...

Most probably I will chemical strip and then repaint the black with a suitable paint that flows well when wet to leave a smooth shiny finish. But lot more research to do on this before I attempt this.

Re: Centre caps

You can refurbish the cap in the same way you've done with the wheels. I would try to polish the lacquere down only. And a little hand polish the cap time by time, when not use in salty winter. The rims were acid stripped, powder coated to colour of the pockets, then diamond cut and finally recoate...

Re: Centre caps

Depends what center caps you will refurb and the condition they just have. Pictures should help to help. Its these ones. As you can see Ive had my wheels refurbed and the centre caps are letting the side down now. I'm thinking I can strip the lacquer off, polish them a little and then re lacquer th...
