Re: Sun Visor Mounting

Hi Steve,

Ideally black if you have any but colour not important. I think they are handed and it is the passenger side that is cracked. Let me know if you have any.

Thanks for your help.

Re: MAZ1986 - 1985 S3

Picked the car up today. First impressions are that the new suspension bushes and springs have certainly firmed things up and car felt much better. Had a good detailed look over the bodywork in sunlight whilst cleaning when I got home, only wet day for ages, and very happy with the finish. Have a lo...

Re: Sun Visor Mounting

Thanks. Tim was on my list to try once I worked out what I need. I got the car back today and it has a temp fix implemented so OK in the short term.

I see Phil’s Rotary’s has them but an expensive option with the postage.

Re: MAZ1986 - 1985 S3

Car now completed. I will be picking up tomorrow. This is from the Grandstand Coachworks open morning last week. Car complete with lazy passenger sun vizor (see wanted post). Lots of attention and always good to speak to people about rotary engines. Even though only about 50 people attended I still ...

Sun Visor Mounting

Just going through the final checks on my car before I get it home and noticed that the passenger side sun visor is drooping. It appears that the plastic part that fits inside the spigot has a crack and is now not providing sufficient friction to prevent the visor from drooping. Just wondered if any...

Re: MAZ1986 - 1985 S3

On the final stretch now. Underside of the car is now complete. Full set of Energy Suspension bushes fitted. Racing Beat springs fitted. We decided not to bother with doing underside between the chassis rails as all looked good. Just outside of chassis rails. Final job is to complete the wheels. The...

Re: MAZ1986 - 1985 S3

Topside of car is now nearly complete. Just waiting delivery of new windscreen from Pilkington. Rear side windows were bonded in yesterday. Black rubber components on bumpers have been painted with a black rubber paint which is apparently used on lorry trailers. They look really good and better than...

Re: MAZ1986 - 1985 S3

Went over to view the paint today. Re-assembly already started in some areas. Paint looks very good and has been finished to a 1980's spec as requested, thus not as hyper polished as a modern car would be. Colour looks very good under daylight bulbs. Previous images in spray booth are not so well li...

Re: MAZ1986 - 1985 S3

Over the last week the car has had full body prep and been sprayed. Will be visiting on Monday to check it out. From the many photos I have received it looks like a great job. Once paint has had a chance to harden they will do re-assembly. Then all of the suspension is coming off to be refinished an...
