Re: 84 1/2 GSL-SE figures

There were around 15000 GSL-SEs made I think, but that's only from what I have read online. I think all rotary engine mazdas were built in Hiroshima, non produced in America or elsewhere. Paint codes can be found on the forum if you do a search. There was a Japanese market only model of the Savanna ...

Re: Frey Mazda Museum, Germany- Potential road trip

I'd love to do this, again depending on availability. I would say the journey is do able in an RX7, but maybe a support vehicle or continental breakdown cover needs arranging just to be safe. There might be some other UK rotary owners not just FB owners interested in this trip from other clubs?

Re: Series 3 tyres, what's available?

Series 3s came with Dunlop D60 tyres, 205 x 60 x14 Nice and upright, not too 'balloon like', they suited the car viewed from front or rear. I think 205s look way to ballooney and wide on a 5.5" wheel myself, I have always run 195s myself, but my opinions matters not if going for originality

Nice work Thomas, great to see you have your elford spoiler fitted up, I know you really wanted this part for your car. The black works really well too 8-)

Series 3 tyres, what's available?

Great to see this car go to a caring new home, I'm sure Ian will take great care of Gus! In terms of tyres, does anyone know what tyres RX7s were supplied with from new? It would be cool to see original cars like Gus on some period correct tyres, if such a thing exists in the right size haha. I know...

Re: Engine Oil

This is generally not a problem with modern oils. The vast majority of modern oils have a very high compatibility with older seal compounds, and all seals used in rotary engines in RX7s are compatible.

I do love all the old school stickers and graphics from 80s motoring!
